Xiaomi has revealed the partnership with Planetarium Negara to educate Malaysian about the wonders of space science and astronomy through Xiaomi space-themed photography contest.
A photography contest titled “Starry Night” will be introduced to spark the interest amongst Malaysians in capturing creative and captivating images of the night sky.
National Planetarium director, Anita binti Bahari said “Photography has played such an important role in inspiring people these days. The goal is to inspire everyone to value the importance of astronomy and space science.”
Nicolas Shi, General Manager of Xiaomi, Malaysia and Singapore said, “We are honoured and excited to be partnering with Planetarium Negara. We believe that this partnership will not just inspire creativity among Malaysians but encourage them to also explore space science and appreciate the beauty of our solar system.”
The contest is now open until May 17, with anybody may submit their best-spaced photo shot on any smartphone and grab a chance to win M 11 and exclusive trip to Pulau Mawar, Mersing to experience capturing the mesmerising Milky Way.
Entries will be juried by expert from Planetarium Negara with experience in astrophotography.
Winners will be announced on Xiaomi Malaysia and Planetarium Negara’s social media pages, as well as on Planetarium Negara’s official website.
