Illegear unveiled a new gaming laptop, Selenite, that may take you by surprise! It features a 17.3″ bezel-less screen in a 15″ laptop form factor. What’s also interesting about the IPS display is that it has a refresh rate of 144Hz with sRGB 100% gamut.

With this technology built in, fans can expect a smoother gameplay with a rich colour reproduction to feast their eyes on. The laptop weighs at a mere 2.25kg and has a thickness of 25mm. This is undoubtedly an ultra slim and lightweight gaming laptop. Illegear has also managed to fit a mechanical keyboard featuring brown switches in the Selenite.

However, they claim that this keyboard is by far the quietest compared to other Illegear products which also features a mechanical keyboard.

The Selenite can be configured to feature Intel’s 8th gen i9-8950HK or i7-8750H processors which is paired with NVIDIA GTX1060. The GTX1060 is the only GPU available for this laptop. Between the two processors, the i9 is the only processor here that is overclockable.

Storage capacity

The  gaming laptop has the capability to support up to 32GB of DDR4 memory at 2666MHz as well as up to 4TB of storage capacity. In terms of storage, there are 2 M.2 slots and a 2.5inch SATA slot.

The laptop is able to stay relatively cool under intense gaming as there are five heatpipes with four vents and two cooling fans.

The Selenite can be yours for a staggering amount of RM7099 for the base model which features the Intel i7, 8GB of memory, 240GB NVMe storage and 1TB of SSHD.
