Windows has dominated the PC market as the go-to operating system for all things game related. So it’s a little worrying that the company has taken its own sweet time on optimising its biggest seller for gamers.

In 2017, things will change though. Microsoft is expected to start testing a ‘Game Mode’ for Windows 10 which will boost performance by making sure RAM and CPU resources are allocated more for games than anything else.

No real details have been released, but the feature is expected to be tested on build 15007 for Windows Insiders, with more coming when the Creators Update goes live.
