The next flagship smartphone from One Plus may arrive sooner than expected, if a recent source is to be believed.
A source close to TechRadar might have just revealed to them that the upcoming One Plus 8 may be unveiled in the second week of April, though there wasn’t an exact date as to when. It is expected to be a global unveiling.
However, it is not confirmed what other products will be announced nor what the specs will be for the smartphone(s), though other leaks have suggested that One Plus may be doing three products that include a “Lite” version to their latest flagship.
Pricing has not been revealed either for any smartphone, though with their latest products, it is likely they’ll be priced at a mid to high range. Their One Plus 7 is priced at £499 (RM1,899.00), while the One Plus 7 Pro is priced at £649 (RM2,380.00). Despite the name, the ‘Lite’ model may not exactly be budget friendly, instead being priced at a mid range according if numerous leaks are to be believed.
This information should be taken with a grain of salt, however, as only a single source has leaked this information. In previous years, One Plus usually released their products within May to June; the One Plus 5 was released in June, while the One Plus 6 and One Plus 7 were released in May. Until an official announcement from One Plus comes, that may still be the release window for this year’s flagship smartphone.
