We all use Waze, its convenient and gets us out of traffic jams at times but most importantly gets us to our destination. Recently the company released a new SDK for the transportation community, namely cab drivers and passenger service vehicles. Using the Waze ETA, the new customers need only use the navigation app for direction and traffic monitoring,m they can now improve their service and also have the potential to grow their business with turn by turn navigation and preferred routing displayed in their native applications.
Over the years, the app has built its driving data from more than 50 million active users globally and it is one of the largest historical and predictive data sets that is available in the traffic industry. According to Waze the transport SDK will bring unprecedented insight and data to partners, enabling easy implementation of navigation services and reducing the friction of swapping between applications. Drivers can now monitor all the necessary information in a single app, this could also in the future allow consumers to book their taxis on Waze and watch the cab navigating through the route before arriving to your doorstep.
Partners already using the new SDK include Lyft, Genesis Impulse, JustPArk, Cornershop, Cabify and 99Taxis. The partnership enables these companies to get better optimised routes leading to more customers, with real time information shared, it will be possible to see a delivery driver on a map.
