Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc will be rescheduling most of its movie under DC Extended Universe (DCEU), as the pandemic continues to progress at a negative rate.

Matt Reeve’s The Batman, initially slated for a June 25, 2021 release date, has been pushed to October 1, 2021. The four-month-delay is likely attributed to the fact that shooting in London was put to a halt.

Reeves reportedly told Deadline that it plans to finish all shooting in London, and not re-locate. He is currently going through shot footage, which apparently amounts to about a quarter of the film.

Shazam 2 will also be delayed. Its release date is now on November 4, 2022, while its initial date was on April 1 the same year.

One DCEU movie, however, sees its release being moved up instead of down. The Flash will now be released on June 3, 2022 instead of July 1, 2022.

Apart from just DCEU movies, Warner Bros. untitled Elvis Presley film will also see a slight delay. It’s now slated to release on November 5, 2021, contending with Disney/ Marvel’s Doctor Stange in the Multiverse of Madness.

These delays are not at all surprising, as production of any kind has been halted due to the pandemic.

The only movie to have not been mentioned is Wonder Woman 1984. The movie has already pushed its release date from June 5, 2020 to August 14, 2020.

The fact that it wasn’t mentioned shows that Warner Bros. is adamant about sticking to its rescheduled date, for the time being.

This just adds to a growing list of movies and TV shows that have been delayed, and honestly, this probably won’t be the last of them.
