Those looking for a PC or console gaming monitor may want to try this one. Visual display provider ViewSonic announces the new XG3240C Curved Gaming Monitor as an ‘Immersion Driven Performance’. The monitor follows the hero styling of other ViewSonic gaming monitors such as XG2703-GS.
ViewSonic highlights three key aspects of the monitor. First, the monitor supports a WQHD (2560 x 1440) resolution, with 85% NTSC colour and HDR10 content support. The WQHD resolution helps render images in finer details. HDR (High Dynamic Range) support brings out the depth of scenes in bright and dark areas. Following this, the 85% NTSC colour gamut on the monitor’s 3ms VA panel helps produce more accurate colours.
Second, the monitor’s panel has a 1800R curvature which extends to 32″. This design helps further immerse gamers by covering a wide range of their peripheral vision.
Finally, the monitor makes use of 144Hz performance and AMD FreeSync technology. A higher refresh rate ensures smoother animations and lower input lag. Meanwhile, AMD FreeSync matches the monitor’s refresh rate to the game’s frames to help remove stutter, lag, and tearing.
As for other features, the monitor uses dual 6W speakers. It also has a DisplayPort, two HDMI slots, five USB 3.0 slots, and an Audio in/out slot.
The ViewSonic XG3240C Curved Gaming Monitor will be available in May at an estimated retail price of RM2,299.
