The new Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 is available for pre-order!
Other than the new Galaxy Note 20, which you can read more here, Samsung announced its new line of smart watches which is the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3. Here’s what you need to know about the new product:
More Than Rumours Now
As it was rumoured before, the Galaxy Watch 3 actually does come in a 41mm diameter, but it also comes in a larger 45mm diameter variant. In addition, the watch comes in two metal options-Stainless Steel and Titanium-and the colour options vary depending on your metal choice. The Stainless Steel version comes with premium leather straps for the context, while the Titanium case is shipped with a metal strap.
For the Stainless Steel version, you get a choice between Mystic Bronze, Mystic White, and Mystic Black. If you’re planning on getting the Titanium version, though, the only colour option available for it is Mystic Black. Oh, and on a side note, the Titanium version of the Galaxy Watch 3 seems to only be available in the 45mm diameter size.
How much does it cost? While Samsung Malaysia has not specified an actual date for local availability for the Galaxy Watch 3, preorders have already begun and will conclude on August 20. The official pricing in Malaysia for the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 (41mm) costs RM1,699 while the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 (45mm) costs RM1,79 and each order comes with a wireless charger pad worth RM239.
The outside may be beautiful but it’s always what’s inside that counts. The Galaxy Watch 3 houses an Exynos 9110 SoC running at 1.15GHz, 1GB RAM, and comes with 8GB of internal storage. For battery life, the 41mm models are powered by a 247mAh battery, while the 45mm models will have a 340mAh battery. Like its predecessors, the Galaxy Watch3 is powered by the latest version of Samsung’s Tizen OS.
The Galaxy Watch 3 will feature an IP68 water and dust resistance rating, plus what Samsung is calling its most advanced heart rate monitor on its wearable, to date.
New Hand Gestures
Another rumour that has been put to rest is the hand gesture feature. It was confirmed during the launch that the Galaxy Watch 3 has new hand gestures features; to receive a call, just clench your fist and if you want to ignore the call just simply rotate your wrist. Impressive.
