The Mandalorian Season 2 Get’s An October 2020 Release Date; That’s 8 Months Without New Baby Yoda Memes

We all knew that Disney+ smash hit TV show The Mandalorian would be getting a season 2, what we didn’t know was when exactly it’ll be released. Thanks to Disney CEO Bob Iger though, we now do. Speaking at the company’s quarterly earnings call, he revealed that the long awaited second season of the Star Wars spin-off will premiere on Disney+ in October 2020.

That essentially means that the internet will be bereft of new material for Baby Yoda memes for a whole 8 months, which to be honest is a lot shorter of a period than I expected. The show has been a runaway success, and surprisingly, it’s not JUST because of Baby Yoda. The show itself is actually pretty good, with showrunner Jon Favreau doing an unbelievable job in keeping both fans and non fans of Star Wars interested.

While Iger revealed the month in which season 2 will premiere, the exact date remains to be seen, but you can be rest assured that Disney+ will tease the show extensively in the run up to the premier. The Disney CEO also teased that there could be potential The Mandalorian spin-offs in the works too.

Disney+ is leveraging heavily on their rights to the Star Wars universe and is all set to become THE place to be for Star Wars related content with a slew of upcoming shows in the works, including one starring Rogue One’s Cassian Andor and the one that everyones been waiting for, a new series about Ewan McGregor’s Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Can’t f***ing wait!
