Texas Chicken Is Opening Their First Drive-Thru In Klang Valley

The people of Sunway Mentari rejoices as Texas Chicken — one of the region’s largest quick-service chicken restaurant chains — ups its ante with the launch of its first drive-thru outlet in the Klang Valley. This is Texas Chicken’s second Drive-Thru restaurant in Malaysia, following the opening of its Sungai Petani Drive-Thru last year.

Sharing a strategic location adjacent to a bustling petrol station, Texas Chicken’s brand new outlet at Shell Sunway Mentari is ready to fulfil the expectations and lifestyle needs of consumers today, through its range of delicious and high quality products, which are also certified Halal by JAKIM. In addition, customers are able to eat there, whether through Dine-In, Take-Away or Drive-Thru — all day long at this 24-hour restaurant.

Speaking at its Grand Opening event today, Dato’ Jaya Tan, Chairman of Envictus International Holdings, said;

“We are truly excited to celebrate this new milestone in our company’s journey. After six years since the opening of our first restaurant in Malaysia, we hope to elevate the dining experience of our customers by offering more drive-thru restaurants for their convenience. This also underscores our commitment in growing our business in Malaysia, which will naturally contribute to the national economy and create more job opportunities for the locals.”

Envictus Holdings currently operates over 50 Texas Chicken restaurants in Malaysia and has opened five new restaurants this year, including this Drive-Thru outlet in Sunway Mentari.

“Malaysia is one of the Top 5 countries for Texas Chicken globally, and we are very proud to have Envictus as our franchise partner in this market. 2019 and 2020 will be exciting years for Texas Chicken as we launch our new global brand positioning – and Malaysia will be one of the showcase markets,” said Yang Ming Ong, Vice-President, Texas Chicken Business.

Texas Chicken Sunway Mentari stands at 3,500 square ft with a seating capacity of 146. Hopefully with this, more Texas Chicken Drive-Thru’s will open up. Which I personally don’t know if I should be happy about, or scared of how much I’d actually go to a Texas Chicken-Thru….
