The Tekken World Tour Finals has been a long time coming for Tekken 7 enthusiasts. Featuring some of the best players that Tekken 7 has to offer, the event was filled with intensity like no other.
As the tournament ramped up for its Top 8 matches, Bandai Namco decided to top off that hype with a complete reveal of the game’s Season Two character roster.
Tekken 7 Director Katsuhiro Harada started off by announcing that Tekken 7 has now sold over 3.6 million copies worldwide, and proceeded to thank the audience and fans for their support. He then went on to reveal the identities of three previously-unknown characters coming for Season Two.
Craig Marduk, Armor King, and Julia Chang were shown off in new gameplay trailers. These are legacy characters who appeared in previous Tekken games. Despite being returning characters, each of them have received brand new designs and outfits to keep things interesting.
Harada also surprised everyone in announcing that both Marduk and Armor King will actually be playable starting tomorrow. Fans of either of these classic grapplers won’t have to wait long at all, though it looks like we’ll be fiddling our thumbs a while longer for Julia or Negan.
You may remember that, during EVO 2018, Bandai Namco revealed a bombshell that The Walking Dead’s Negan would be playable DLC character in Tekken 7. It looks like the developer has finally decided to show us how he plays in-game, and have even reenacted an iconic scene from the popular TV show, but starring Tekken characters this time around.
These four fighters join the previously released Anna Williams and Lei Wulong to round up Season Two’s roster. Tekken 7 is now available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
