It’s been a long wait, but the Microsoft Surface has finally arrived on our shores as of last night. This initial opening is only the RT, but it still looks very good.
The launch was a massive event held in Publika, which saw Managing Director Carlos Lacerda arrive riding a skateboard made out of the Surface. Lacerda also took the opportunity to formally announce that the Surface Pro will be arriving in Malaysia by the end of June 2013.
Surface RT is loaded with Windows RT, and comes bundled with Microsoft RT Office Home and Student 2013. Despite looking like Windows 8, it runs apps from the Windows Store exclusively. It is powered by a quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor, with 2 GB of RAM for those worried about technical specifications. Two variants of storage space exist, one with 32GB and the other with 64GB.
