Sony Mobile Communications introduces three new Xperia models – Xperia SP, Xperia E and Xperia E dual – to its 2013 line-up for the Malaysian market. This is to accompany Sony’s flagship smartphone, Xperia Z, as it covers the mid-range and entry-level market.
“Xperia SP is ideally suited for those seeking stylish class-leading smartphones that don’t compromise on features, while Xperia E and Xperia E dual is perfect for those seeking affordable access to the quality and functionality more traditionally associated with high-end Android smartphones,” said Ola Lilja Molén, Head of Southeast Asia Markets at Sony Mobile Communications.
The Xperia SP in an aluminium frame while utilising its 4.6in HD Reality Display for sharper pictures and better brightness. There is also a colour-changing ‘transparent element’ with customisable illuminations for users to personalise to alert them of incoming calls and text messages. The illuminations can also pulse to the beat of music. Inside this LTE-enabled smartphone is a 1.7 GHz Qualcomm SnapdragonS4 MSM8960Pro Dual Core processor and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
Additionally, Sony Mobile also introduces its Xperia E and Xperia E dual for bargain hunters or those who wants their first smartphone. Using a 3.5in HVGA display, these phones are powered by a 1 GHz single core processor.
The Xperia SP, Xperia E and Xperia E dual are already in stores and is priced at RM1,299, RM499 and RM599, respectively. All models except Xperia E dual comes with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
