Because Supreme
Supreme has become the epitome of hype in the last decade with the skateboarding brand pretty much positioning itself as the queen bee for the hive mind that is the hypebeast mentality. That being said, the brand has made it a habit of teasing its upcoming collection with a lone Instagram post and for Spring/Summer 2020, there’s no exception.
The single photo shows off the back of a model who’s got on three pieces of Supreme gear on, and unsurprisingly all three have distinctive details. Taking centre stage is gold (brown?) trucker-style jacket, with the main highlight of the piece being the Supreme branding on the back that is framed by fringed distressing which is only made nicer by the fact that there are repeated frayed dots all over the entire piece. You can almost hear the siren song of hypebeasts getting ready to empty their wallets.
Next we have a hoodie thats covered in $20 dollar notes. Not literally but as literally as it can get without it being covered in actual $20 dollar notes. The piece is loud at best and gaudy at worst but we’ve not seen the front of it so it’s hard to comment. Finishing it off is a pair of red trousers which could be shorts but because we only get a partial look at it, It’s hard to tell. The pants kinda remind me of the pants from the Nike x AMBUSH collab, but again, i’m grasping at straws here.
Supreme is expected to drop its full SS20 lookbook in the days to come so keep your eyes peeled for that.
