Everyone’s favourite Star Wars series in the expanded Star Wars universe is making a triumphant return! That’s right guys, Star Wars: The Clone Wars will be making a return to television, this time finding a home in none other than the Disney+ streaming platform.

The series ran for six seasons between 2008-2014 but its abrupt cancellation never gave fans the closure they deserved. The show, which takes place between the events of Star Wars: Episode II — Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith and centres around Ahsoka Tano, Anakin Skywalkers padawan as they weather the events of the intergalactic war taking place.

Seeing as Disney now has their own streaming platform where pretty much every other Star Wars related show lives, it makes perfect sense for them to revive the series. This now gives Star Wars fans even more reason to subscribe to the streaming platform as it’s really starting to look like THE place to be for anything Star Wars related. With most of the shows that fans are excited for only premiering in the second half of 2020, The Clone Wars is going to have to satiate the appetites of fans until titles such as WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier launch.
