Sony has officially unveiled its flagship Xperia Z5 just days before IFA where a bigger fanfare event is scheduled. Apart from the regular flagship models there were two more supporting cast introduced, the Premium and Compact, all with different sizes, with the premium at 5.5″, the Z5 at 5.2″ and the Compact 4.6″.
The Xperia Z5 Premium is the world first smartphone that comes in 4K ultra HD display, this 5.5” smartphone packs in four times the resolution of Full HD at a staggering 806 ppi. They come in gold and black.
In terms of camera one of the other main highlight of the phones, they all feature a Hybrid Autofocus technology giving speed and accuracy to as fast of 0.03 second to autofocus. The body of the Xperia Z5 is made of a full metal frame with the back covered using frosted glass giving it a matt stain free back, that’s both gentle on the eye and touch. As per leaks the new smartphones are waterproof and dust resistance with IP68/65 rating, a trait being seen on most of Sony’s phones.
Another new feature is the start button which now sits on the left side of the Xperia Z5 which has a finger scan integrated into, a somewhat convenient aspect, but will depend on the how responsive its going to be with such tiny reader.
Display on the regular Xperia Z5 is a 5.2″ FHD 1080p (1920×1080) enhanced with Triluminos display for mobile. Processing power is taken care of by Qualcomm Snapdragon 810, 64bit Octa Core processor with Adreno 430 GPU and a 3GB of RAM.
