
Sony launches the third iteration of its A7R full-frame mirrorless camera. This latest offering from Sony combines the best of speed and resolution, allowing razer sharp shots that brings out the clarity.
Designed for professionals and amateurs alike, the Sony A7Riii is a 35mm Full-Frame camera fitted with 42.4-megapixel back illuminated Exmor R CMOS image sensor. The camera also brings a max ISO sensitivity of 32,000, expandable to 102,400 for still images. This results in high sensitivity with low-noise performance as well as a 15-stop wide dynamic range. With the latest generation BIONZ X and front end LSI, giving 1.8 times faster processing speeds compared to its predecessor.

Similar to its recently introduced A9, the camera enables continuous shooting up to 10fps, with full auto focus/auto exposure tracking. Bringing the A9’s silent continuous shooting to the A7Riii, the camera also gives 76 images buffer in compressed RAW. This means quieter shots, with quicker turn around without having to wait for the camera to write and process data while doing continuous shots.
With 399 points of phase detection auto focus points, the AF covers 68% of AF area in a photo. The third generation also features 2x faster AF tracking speed, with low light AF. Also introduced is an improved version of Eye AF, an AF tracker that tracks movements of the human eye, with twice the accuracy compared to its previous iterations.

The A7Riii features Pixel Shift Multi Shooting, allowing for up to 169.6 million pixel data to be recorded for a clearer, sharper image. Also improved in this version is the dual SD card slot, and a 5-axis steadyshot up to 5.5 stops. Besides stills, the camera shoots video in 4K HDR, and comes with a higher battery capacity at 2.2x longer life compared to the A7Rii.
The Sony A7Riii will be available in Malaysia from 13th December, at RM14,888 (body only).

Along with this launch, Sony also introduces a new FE lens, the FE 24-105mm F4 G OSS. Designed for versatile usage, the lens is lightweight and covers a wide range of shots from wide angle to mid-telephoto.
The FE 24-105mm F4 G OSS lens (SEL24105G) will be available in Malaysia from 8th December at RM6,099.
