It seems the flavour for January 2018 is updating current line-ups; a move Acer followed with its newly released slim 14-inch Acer Swift 5.

Measuring at 14.9mm and weighing below 1kg, the all-new Acer Swift 5 uses special materials to look and feel remarkable. Using ultralight magnesium-lithium alloy for the chassis and magnesium-aluminum for the fittings, it can withstand most bumps.

Complementing that is the powerhouse performance it offers. Roaring within is an Intel 8th Generation Core CPU that pairs with 8GB DDR4 RAM and 256GB SSD. As for the display, a 14-inch Full HD IPS touchscreen with a narrow bezel takes the lead.

Other features present on the slim 14-inch Acer Swift 5 are the Acer Fingerprint Reader and Acer TrueHarmony with Dolby Audio Premium. Microsoft Windows 10, with Windows Hello, are pre-installed within.

For something so compact, the slim 14-inch Acer Swift 5 promises long operation hours. This is all thanks to the battery it uses that can run up to 8-hours on a single charge.

According to Acer, there are two variants for the next-gen Acer Swift 5 – an Intel Core i5 and i7 flavours. Both are priced at RM3,799 and RM4,599 respectively and available for purchase at all authorised Acer resellers.
