Nikon has been absent and seem to have fallen of the radar in Malaysia, its been a tough ride for camera manufacturers ever since smartphones started incorporating tiny high quality lens and calling them the best photography devices. But unlike Canon and Sony who have been resilient and innovative giving full frame and DSLR a purpose, Nikon appears to have given up. (We will leave that story for another day and talk about the newly launched camera for now.)

The company recently announced a new camera model, the Nikon D850, a full-frame DSLR with 45.7-megapixel and has a back-side Illuminated (BSI) CMOS sensor said to improve image quality. It’s capable of 4K video and shoots up to 7-frame per second at full resolution, and also has a wide ISO range from 64-25,600 expandable to ISO 32 to 102,400. Photographers can choose Live-View mode for silent photography and for shooting formats they have five options including FX-format, 1.2x, DX, 5:4, or 1:1 square with viewfinder shading for easy composition.

A tilting 3.2″ touchscreen LCD in the back makes controlling more convenient, we also like the battery power on this shooter lasting 70 minutes for video. A small and light weight full frame the unit is built using magnesium alloy and is weather sealed for outdoor use.

The Nikon D850 will have a suggested retail price  $3,299.95.
