Looks like Samsung’s secret has been outed to the masses as the Galaxy S series and new foldable flagship has been leaked. Korean media outlet, Ajunews who reports that Samsung held secret meetings with telecom partners in secret at CES 2020. People at the meetings apparently got to see the unannounced devices, and CEO of Samsung Mobile DJ Koh also confirmed the names of two upcoming flagship phones.

Of course, that being the Galaxy S11 series and previously Fold 2. Koh confirmed that the new phones will be named the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 Plus and Galaxy S20 Ultra. No word on why the change of name, but it is what it is.

To add to that, he also revealed what their next foldable is going to be named. The clamshell foldable smartphone will be dubbed the Galaxy Bloom rather than the Fold 2, which makes sense considering it’s not really a sequel to the original, but a whole new form factor.

Koh revealed that it’s inspired by Landon’s makeup compacts, and will target the phone at 20-something women.

Not much other further details about the phones besides the fact that the Bloom will have both 4G and 5G variants, as well as 8K video recording. 8K video recording will be supported by both the new S20 lineup and the Galaxy Bloom, so that’s a juicy bit of info right there. Considering the missing 8K content around, phones which are capable of it will definitely make the resolution more widely used.

But considering the information was held behind closed doors at CES 2020, we can’t really speak on its validity. But also considering that Samsung is known for holding secret meetings with partners, it just might be true. We’ll have to wait and see when Samsung reveals more information on February 11th.
