Since its inception into the Malaysian market back in February 2017, Samsung Pay is steadily establishing itself as the top mobile payment system. To further entice both existing and new users, Samsung Malaysia Electronics has just announced its rewards programme, Samsung Rewards.

With every purchase made through Samsung Pay, you will receive points, much like how credit card points-based reward programmes work. Samsung Rewards will also give users the chance to “double dip” on reward points. With every credit card purchase through Samsung Pay, you can earn points, miles or cash back from the card’s issuer and even points towards Samsung Rewards.

There will be three Samsung Rewards loyalty tiers, mainly Bronze, Silver and Gold. There will also be points multipliers, which will help users earn double, triple and even quadruple points. This depends on the amount of times Samsung Pay is being used every month. To level up, you must meet a target number of transactions to earn more points with every purchase.

Samsung will also be partnering with small businesses and retailers to give you additional points through limited-time bonus offers. If you’re already a Samsung Pay user, simply update the app to its latest version and Samsung will give you free 450 welcome points!
