Uber Singapore for Furry Friends

As Uber Malaysia recently launched UberEATS, Uber Singapore has just announced its latest ride-sharing feature, UberPETS. This will allow every Singaporean user with a pet to travel with them on-board.

This rule will not only apply to dogs and cats but to other pets like rabbits, hamsters and mice to name a few. However, all pets must be accompanied with a hoo-man (human) and will not be allowed to travel alone as pets (dogs especially) have a tendency to be quite rambunctious.

As of right now, every Singaporean Uber user is allowed to bring one pet along for the ride. If you happen to have more than one, it will be up to the driver. This is nothing new as UberPETS have launched all over the world. However, Singapore will be the first Asian country to do so.

UberPETS trips will be priced as the same as UberX but with an additional SG$2 (approx. RM6.23) surcharge.

One can only hope this will be brought into Malaysia as well but by the time that happens, it’ll probably be snowing too!
