Samsung Launches World’s First Quantum Dot Curved Gaming Monitor

Samsung has a new monitor designed just for gamers – the CFG70. This new entry is curved and features quantum dot technology. This allows it to express brilliant and accurate colours across a 125% sRGB spectrum. This added luminance produces a 3000:1 contrast ratio, amplifying previously unseen details in many leading titles.

The CFG70 comes with Samsung’s advanced motion blur reduction technology, making it the first curved display to produce a 1 millisecond moving picture response time. This rapid response time reduces the transitions between moving objects on screen, eliminating potential distractions.

It also comes with AMD FreeSync Technology, which works over HDMI to sync the screen’s 144Hz refresh rate with your AMD GPU. This lowers the possibility of screen tearing and improves the gaming experience considerably. A series of hotkeys on the front and back of the monitor allow users to easily adjust gameplay settings, and the monitor is pre-calibrated to handle FPS, RTS, RPG and AOS genres.

The CFG70’s “Super Arena” design, featuring industry-best 1,800R curvature and a 178-degree ultra-wide viewing angle, is formatted to match the natural curve of the human eye. Complementary sound-interactive LED lighting further creates a lifelike presentation and keeps users focused during the most paramount moments.
