Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Series Will Miss Out On This ‘Novelty’ Galaxy S20 Ultra Feature

New information from notorious leaker Ice Universe has hinted at Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Note 20 series missing an integral piece from the Galaxy S20 Ultra’s puzzle: the 100x zoom. When it first released, I was very adamant on the ‘feature’ being essentially a gimmick and if the next Galaxy Note phone is missing it, it basically confirms what I’ve known all along.

Based on this, we have a better idea of what to expect on the Note 20 lineup. However for now, we don’t know what other sensors the device will feature. Another thing Ice had to update us about is while the Note 20 lineup is missing the 100x Zoom, the Galaxy Note 20+ will still be using a 108MP sensor, which will be complemented by a new sensor to assist in focusing.

This is important to note because while the 108MP sensor on the S20 Ultra could ‘zoom’ to space with the 100x, users reported autofocus issues. Which when you consider the price point of the device, is very unacceptable. Hopefully Samsung manages to get over the hump and work out actual real-life camera performance, rather than move towards the realm of novelty.

People pay a premium for these flagship devices, the very least you could do is make it easy for customers to take a phone straight out of the pocket.
