Samsung is no slouch when it comes to new technology. Even though Huawei beat them to the punch, with their version of the triple-camera smartphone with their P20 Pro, Samsung has responded. They have officially launched the Galaxy A7, that comes equipped with three cameras on the rear.
It offers a 6-inch Super AMOLED display, octa-core 2.2GHz chipset, up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, a 3,300mAh battery, Android Oreo, and more. There’s also a fingerprint sensor on the side of the device.
For selfies, the Galaxy A7 comes with a 24MP shooter on the front.
For the main camera array, there’s a 24MP lens with Autofocus and f1.7 aperture. This lens uses the extra resolution to improve quality by combining four pixels into one, during low-light scenarios. Next, there is a 5MP f2.2 aperture “Depth Lens”, that is used to simulate bokeh in Samsung’s Live Focus mode. And finally, there is a 8MP f2.4 aperture Ultra-Wide lens, which gives you 120-degree field-of-view.
Announced for European and Asian markets, Samsung has yet to announce a price for this new mid-range offering.
