After speculation from fans, Samsung has officially announced that the M Series of their budget lineup will be coming to Malaysia. The phone will be exclusively available online and will be around the RM 1000 price point. This is based off the M20’s price in India where it released earlier this year. The M20 is priced at ₹10,900 (RM 632) for the 3GB/32GB variant.
It comes with a 6.3″ display with FHD+, 5000 mAh battery and an Ultra Wide Dual Camera. For the price, this device almost seems too good to be true. The Galaxy M20 also has an Exynos 7904 1.8 GHz Octa-core processor, dual sim support as well as microSD upto 512 GB. The phone comes in Charcoal Black and Ocean Blue.
The Galaxy M is Galaxy’s response to the amount of budget smartphones in the market. Because it’s a Samsung product, you can expect quality. But how it actually performs is still to be seen.

However it’s a good trend for companies to realize that people don’t want to pay RM 3000-5000 for phones anymore. I’m looking at you Apple.
A good RM 1000-2000 phone can perform enough to justify not buying those expensive phones.
