Samsung Bets On Galaxy S9 Camera For The Win

Samsung is making big bets on its upcoming flagship smartphone launch, the Galaxy S9, after standing by and witnessing Apple trump yet again both its Note 8 and S8 with impeccable features on the the iPhone X (forget about the iPhone 8), among them the TrueDepth front facing camera.

The biggest Android phone maker has been losing grounds to Huawei facing tough challenge from Apple…again. Having made the screen as its focus for 2017 with Infinity Display , Samsung is turning back to camera for this years key highlight. In its latest pre-launch teaser video the company is inviting users to reimagine the camera, its show actors taking pictures with digital cameras an indication how these can be replaced with more precise settings on the smartphones. Even the lens showed has distinctive details about OIS and zoom-in function of 15-55mm, commonly seen on DSLR kit lens.

Samsung is saying: Imagine a camera that can see more than your eyes – one that can help you capture every moment and change the way you experience the world. Now imagine it’s part of the device you already use, every single day.

Launch will take place in Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on 25 February watched closely by another smartphone brand on the sideline.
