According to news reports online, Google may be releasing a new Pixelbook during the launch of the Pixel 3 series. The device will now be a 2-in-1 machine rather than the traditional clamshell laptop like the previous model.

Codenamed ‘Nocturne’, the new computing device from Google looks good, and even fetching in its new design. The 4:3 ratio screen is flanked by very thin bezel, with a sturdy-looking keyboard attached to it in laptop mode. The leaked photo has the device in a metallic-blue colour. No sized were explicitly shared, but this may be a 13-inch device, as the keyboard looks fairly sizable for the device.

There are two USB Type-C ports, flanking each side of the detachable keyboard. Speculated specs underneath the hood includes an 8th Gen Intel processor, SD card slot (possibly of the micro variety) and a dual power button/fingerprint scanner, like the one on older Sony Xperia smartphones. There are also multiple microphone holes to help in recording sound during video-calls, as well to work with acoustic echo cancellation (AEC) to reduce unwanted sounds during the same call.
