Google’s next flagship smartphone, the Pixel 3 is in the works. Following the Pixel and Pixel 2’s release dates, Google could announce the smartphone for October 2018. In any case, a recent leaked illustration from the Android P beta hints that the Pixel 3 might feature a notch-free display and refined gesture controls.

SlashLeaks states that the illustrations are in the Android P beta. You can access them through Settings > Sounds > Shortcut to Prevent Ringing. The illustrations do not outright state that the displayed phone is the Pixel 3. However, the bezel-less and notchless design suggests that, if anything, it belongs to a new Google phone.

Without a notch, one has to wonder where Google is placing its selfie camera, if at all. In any case, that isn’t the only thing the illustrations reveal.

Through gesture control, users can swipe up from the Home button to see their active apps. It also looks like pressing the home and volume buttons together instantly activates silent mode.

Google announced Android P at its Google I/O 2018 conference. The beta was also made available on the same day. The company has not revealed an official launch date for Android P nor the Pixel 3.
