The likelihood of typos produced by my on-screen keyboard is higher than my daily dose of sugar. So it is very important for me to have a wireless keyboard to pair with my touch devices since I have zero-patience to speed-type on phablets and tablets – I’m just inherently wired to type better on physical keyboards.

I have to admit that while I enjoy using a wireless keyboard, it is a pain to disconnect and reconnect between the different devices I carry. This is especially true when it comes to connecting a traditional Bluetooth keyboard to multiple devices.

Let’s say your wireless keyboard was previously connected via Bluetooth on your smartphone. You want to now use it on your tablet. You can connect the keyboard to it unless you manually disconnect it from your smartphone, and then wait for it to reconnect to your paired tablet. It gets confusing – and tiring – after a while.

This was remedied by the Logitech Bluetooth Multi-Device Keyboard K480 – a gadget that takes away the headache of pairing, connecting and reconnecting your wireless keyboard to your devices.

Thrice the Fun

Just as the name suggests, this wireless keyboard is able to connect to multiple Bluetooth-enabled devices. I’ve managed to create a system for it: Toggle 1 for my Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, Toggle 2 for my Microsoft Surface 3, and Toggle 3 for my Macbook Pro.

Connecting each one was a breeze and takes less than 5 minutes for each toggle number. Unlike a number of wireless keyboard, I didn’t need to install any software for it to run immediately.

Paired Together

I like the fact that the K480 supports a wide range of operating systems for both mobile and computing. Once you’ve paired with each device, there is no need to disconnect. You can turn the dial to the respective number to reconnect to the paired device. There wasn’t really a significant delay between the devices. Even if there was, it was negligible.

Mobility, Maybe

I do think that the K480 isn’t totally made for mobility in mind. Its body isn’t compactable, and it weighs slightly more than 800 grams, which does add quite a bit if you carry more than one devices. That said, the convenience of this wireless keyboard outweighs this minor detail.
