realme Malaysia for some reason, have gotten one of the weirdest records in the Malaysia Book of Records 2020. realme Malaysia and Mobile 2 Go collaborated to build a 6.35 meters tall Christmas tree, with realme smartphone boxes. Yeah, you heard it right, they made a tree out of smartphone boxes and broke the record. I mean, guess it’s not that hard to break a record when you’re setting it? I have no prior knowledge of anyone else breaking the record for basically most smartphone boxes stacked on one another. SO yeah, I’m going to assume they set the record.

“Truly impressed with the effort made by the team at realme Malaysia and Mobile 2 Go for breaking the Malaysia Book of Records on the Tallest Christmas Tree Made of Mobile Phone Boxes in Malaysia. We hope that with such creativity and effort, we could inspire everyone to keep their Dare to Leap attitude and continue to break records in 2020 by staying real,” said Tiffany Teh, Brand Manager of realme Malaysia.

The Christmas tree was shaped in a cone, and had a height of up to 6.35 meters. It was built in 7 days, and used 1645 realme mobile boxes. The rest of the support structure for the Christmas Tree Phone Boxes consisted of brick for the base, bracket holders, iron rod for the structure holder, and other tools and materials.

Approximately 20 people were involved to build up the Christmas tree and it was targeted to be displayed starting yesterday until the 2nd week of January 2020.

I mean, sure, it’s still an impressive feat. But I just, I don’t know, can’t take this seriously. It’s just that ridiculous in my mind, anyway.
