realme Malaysia launched two new products yesterday- the realme Buds Air as well as a new addition to the realme 5 Series family, the realme 5i. These products are symbolize the company’s “leap forward” mantra in being the tech lifestyle brand that delivers “leap forward” performance products which enhance the lives of Malaysian youths.
The company have had an amazing 2019, and you could really tell by all the stops they pulled for the launch yesterday.
realme Buds Air – True Wireless Smart Assistant
The realme Buds Air look alot like the Apple Airpods. In fact, they look exactly alike. But that’s pretty much where the similarities end. The realme Buds Air comes with a custom R1 chip with Bluetooth 5.0 that enables an instant and stable connection between the earbuds and the phone.
Simply place the case on realme 10W Wireless Charger to charge up your earbuds. The battery life on a single charge is a little underwhelming, providing a mere 3 hours of playback but when you factor in the case, you get a total of 17 hours of music playback. The buds also supports 10W Qi standard wireless charging which is a first in this price segment, so that’s a consolation, I suppose.
Some cool features include intelligent touch operation and provides smart controls to answer/end calls, switch music, launch voice assistant and many more with a touch. The built-in Google Assistant lets one experience a smart new lifestyle without taking out your phone by controlling music playback, calls, volume adjustment and information services, such as weather.
The realme Buds Air is priced at RM299, but can be bought on Shopee for a special price of RM199 on the 21st of January.
realme 5i – Quad Camera Battery Hero
realme also launched their latest smartphone, the realme 5i. The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 AIE processor and equipped with a massive 5000mAh battery, providing users with the best battery performance and up to 30-days standby.
On top of that, the phone has been equipped with fireproof protective separation and triple precaution to guarantee battery safety. The device also packs a quad camera setup – 119° ultra wide-angle lens (8MP), main camera (12MP), portrait lens (2MP) and ultra macro lens (2MP). Its main camera also supports better EIS effects, so users can take more stabilised videos while moving.
Aesthetically, realme 5i features the latest Sunrise Design with grains on the back cover which is processed by an industry-leading German five-axis precision radium carving machine. The realme 5i will be available in Aqua Blue and Forest Green and is priced at RM599.
