Bit late, but congrats to Razer!


It’s almost business as usual for Razer in this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES). One of the world’s leader in gaming peripheral and software, Razer went back to the Android TV idea that first appeared around Q1 of 2013. Revealing its Razer Forge TV, the company once again took the show and won the “Best of CES” award for the fifth year in a row, a record in CES’s 48-year history.

The Razer Forge TV won not just the “Best Gaming” product award from Engadget, official awards partner for CES 2015, but also the “People’s Choice”. Razer is certainly no stranger to CES awards, as it has won “People’s Voice” in 2011, 2012 and 2013; “Best of Show” and “Best Gaming”; and “Best PC” and “People’s Choice” in 2014.

Razer co-founder and CEO, Min-Liang Tan, explains that Razer also created peripherals “ uniquely enable high-performance gaming in a casual home environment,” in reference to the Razer Serval gaming controller and Razer Turret, a wireless gaming mouse and keyboard combo. “With the additional ability to stream movies and other media, and to play the best Android games directly on one’s TV, the Razer Forge is truly a micro-console for the next generation of gamers,” he says.

Razer also won TechRadar’s “Best Fitness Tech” and Tom’s Guide’s “Reader’s Choice” for its Nabu X smart wearable, while the VR headset OSVR sweeped up Reviewed.com’s “Editors’ Choice”, TechRadar’s “People’s Choice,” and Stuff.tv’s “Top Wearable Tech”. Additionally, Razer was chosen as “Best on the Showroom Floor” by Popular Science. Overall, an impressive haul of awards.
