These standards include the Common Criteria ISO/IEC 15408, the Information Security Management System (ISMS) ISO/IEC 27001, or the Malaysia Trustmark.

Besides awarding the certificates to Malaysian companies, the event also took time to honour members of the Malaysian Media. Media that were honoured during the event include Harian Metro, Media Prima Group, Computerworld Malaysia, New Straits Times Online, TV 1 (RTM) and BERNAMA Radio 24.

“Emerging cyber threats require engagement from the entire community to create a safer cyber environment – from government and law enforcement to private sector and, most importantly, individual users. CyberSecurity Malaysia’s effort to reach out to both the public and private sector would not have been possible without the cooperation and interest from the media industry in Malaysia,” says Datuk Dr. Ewon Edin.
