Qualcomm Technologies has introduced the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 Mobile Platform, the latest in its 7-series lineup, bringing on-device artificial intelligence, next-gen multimedia features and enhanced gaming capabilities to the mid-tier smartphone segment.
The new platform supports generative AI features including large language models (LLMs) and stable diffusion image generation directly on the device, allowing users to experience advanced capabilities without cloud dependency. It also integrates select features from Snapdragon Elite Gaming™, offering smoother, more immersive gameplay.
Designed to elevate image capture, audio quality and everyday user interaction, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 includes support for Qualcomm’s Expanded Personal Area Network (XPAN) technology—marking its first appearance outside the flagship 8-series. The platform also includes Snapdragon Sound™ for premium audio experiences.
Initial commercial adoption will come from HONOR and vivo, with the first Snapdragon 7 Gen 4-powered devices expected to be announced later this month.
