Taiwanese Digital Technology innovators seek Malaysian partners to explore South-East Asia market.

Apps, cloud services, digital learning and a variety of IT services are still new to many. These services have yet to become a big thing in Malaysia, but that’s where Taiwan comes in. Long seen as the global innovator in digital technology, companies from the island nation have much to show and teach Malaysian companies.

Recently, representatives from ten Taiwanese digital solutions provider were in town to showcase their products at a Digital Innovation Seminar organised by TAITRA (Taiwan External Trade Development Council) and Taiwan’s III (Institute for Information Industry). The event is to share the development of Digital Learning and Mobile Publishing by Taiwanese companies with the Malaysia companies and media in attendance.

The event opens with a talk from Jessie Tseng, Director of Taiwan Trade Centre in Kuala Lumpur, speaking on the fast evolving digital technology landscape. She states that new opportunities are there to be found, and hopes that Malaysian businesses will take the step to form partnerships with Taiwanese companies.

Currently, some existing partnerships are already in place, between businesses of both countries in various IT services industry. These strategic partnerships have been reported to be highly positive and the parties involve expect more of such ventures in future.

During the showcase, the delegates from ten participating companies explained their innovative technology, such as for e-learning, digital app publishing, e-publishing for magazines/books, smart classroom solution, cloud printing solution and more.
