Police Chief Wants Officers Stop Enjoying Fancy Seafood And Solve Crimes

Chief of Police Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador has called on his officers to stop entertaining themselves at fancy seafood restaurants (without mentioning who pays for the bills) and look at solving crimes that has been kept on ‘ice’ for too long.

“All cases under the Bukit Aman Commercial Crime unit that have been left unsolved (iced) for years must be settled within a month” the Chief infuriated. It is reported that many of the cases that are related to online scams has been just kept idle due to poor handling by investigating officers. In fact there has been those where the courts have issued warrant for arrest and even police reports made, but yet no action has been taken. This is not the first time the top cop had lambasted his officers, there has been numerous instances Abdul Hamid called on the police to behave themselves and avoid any instances for the public to judge their actions.

The pending cases he claimed must be solved in order to give closure for the victims, the officers handling those files are being identified and have a month to get it done. He warned those involved in online gambling to take heed, he is on a mission to get them and have asked the bosses running these syndicates not to bother paying him a visit.

Separately, Abdul Hamid highlighted that he does not want PDRM officers to condone in any luxury activities under his watch, including group birthday parties for high ranking officers in the building or any other location outside the quarters.

Incidentally he observed top level officers being treated to expensive seafood restaurant (there is a seafood restaurant near Bukit Aman) with bills reaching thousands of ringgit, questioning who is paying for the bills? These sort of culture needs must be thrown out and will not be tolerated in PDRM he stressed.
