Fans of Percy Jackson & The Olympians book series can now rejoice as the tv adaptation of the series is heading to Disney+. Author Rick Riordan tweeted out saying that while he can’t divulge more information on the series as of now, the tv adaptation will follow the original storyline and he will be part of the process in every step of the way.

Back in 2010 and 2013, the books were adapted into two films – Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief and Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters– and while the first movie was a commercial success, both adaptations did not bode well with the fans. A third film was planned, but eventually never made to production.
Original cast member who played Percy Jackson, Logan Lerman had also expressed his excitement on the news and hoped it gets the adaptation it deserves.

The original Percy Jackson & the Olympians series consisted of five books (Sea of Monsters, The Titan’s Curse, The Battle of the Labyrinth, and The Last Olympian followed The Lightning Thief), but Percy has also appeared in the follow-up series like Heroes of Olympus and The Trials of Apollo.
Who do you think should play Percy Jackson this time round or would you prefer Logan Lerman to make a comeback as this titular character? Let us know in the comments below!
