As part of its Play Your Part, Play at Home campaign, Ubisoft has put up both of its Discovery Tour by Assassin’s Creed games free for grabs until May 21.
The games, Discovery Tour: Ancient Egypt and Discovery Tour: Ancient Greece, are games that focus on learning history in those respective areas.
It’s kind of like a stripped-down version of both Assassin’s Creed: Origins and Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, respectively. Most importantly, the games take the brutal combat system away, so it’s definitely safe for kids.
In Discovery Tour: Ancient Egypt, one can learn about The Ptolemaic Kingdom and learn the culture and customs of Ancient Egypt:
Similarly, Discovery Tour: Ancient Greece offers knowledge of daily life in the Classic Greece period, as well as Greek myths, legends, and philosophies:
These games are aimed at providing a better learning experience for teachers and students at home. Regardless, anyone who’s interested can claim these games on their website. You’ll first need to create a Uplay account to be eligible, which you can do for free as well.
Bear in mind though, the Discovery Tour for Origins and Oddyssey is 42GB and 50GB, respectively. If you intend to install both at the same time, just make sure you have well over 100GB of free storage.
But hey, that file size also indicates just how much one gets to learn from these games. Despite being a game that takes you on tours, the games still retain its parkour gameplay, so that makes learning more interesting.
