Orange.RF Maestro bags the champion title in the final edition of EA Sports FIFA Online 3’s National Championships, after climbing from the lower bracket first round to defend their second successive title at Kuantan City Mall.
Orange.RF Maestro is the first team in seven seasons to defend NC title. In Season 7, NC featured the Top 4 teams from Malaysia including Orange.RF Maestro, SingaMalaya, EIAxiBuncet, and GiFTs. These four competed for their cut of the RM 40,000 prize pool with RM 16,000 going to the champion team.
The final round of the championship was the first major football game Esports tournament to be held in East Coast and the first football game tournament to be broadcasted live by the official broadcaster, Media Prima on TV9.
According to Nicholas Sagau, Media Prima Labs General Manager, he said: “The football spirit in East Coast is as strong as ever. You would have thought this was an actual football event but the fact that it involves Malaysian Esports opens up a whole new dimension in terms of broadcasts.”
Melvyn Lim, NC Event Lead said, “Since this was the final edition of National Championships, we were keen to bring the best possible experience to our players and fans. We wanted to give our players a last hurrah, and we think we succeeded in explosive fashion when the drumline created a superb atmosphere.”
