No More Contract Lock Down With Maxis Zerolution!

A bane for the longest time for customers has been the 24 month contract one has to be locked down with a telco plan if one ones to own a the latest phone, often not they will miss out on the latest devices and get smirks from friends bandying their latest wares. Maxis wants to make people happy, today they broke down this barrier, with the introduction of Maxis Zerolution postpaid plan that removes all restriction and hassle that associates with phone contracts. No more cash upfront, penalties for changing plans, interest easy installments (no credit card needed) and there is also an offer to replace the phone after 12 months.

Users can opt to get their favourite model of device under the MaxisOne plan which is open to new sign ups and for those who are not attached to any current contacts, all you need to do is choose the phone and pay over a 24 month for the plan on your phone bill, for a small fee you can upgrade after just one year to a fresher model with the balance of the payment waived (no penalty) and you can also get protection from accidental damage and unattended theft with additional an RM15 a month.

Criteria: You have to be a Maxis customer with a good payment track record and a credit check will be performed to evaluate your credit rating. That’s it!

For example, a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge retail price RM2923- under Zerolution will be RM115 for the monthly plan, RM30 for the new phone a year option and RM15 insurance. Total monthly bill RM156, normal contract plans will set you back RM2099 for phone to be paid upfront + RM29 plan. You can get more details on this on Maxis website.

There is currently four models on the plan including Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6, HTC M9+ and Samsung Galaxy A7 more devices will be added in to the plan as we go along said Dushyan Vaithiyanathan Maxis Head of Consumer Business. He also added that the plans work on trust with their customers and believes Malaysian are honest enough not to run away with the devices after the first month, however Maxis works with third party insurers and have their inventory protected as well. Foreigners residing in the country will be glad to know that the plan is also open to non-Malaysians.

On top of Zerolution, Maxis has unveiled a new MaxisOne plan which offers up to 8GB of data for the MaxisOne Plan 188, you will have to ultilise the data by the month or it will be forfeited instead you can opt to share with your family and friends capped up to three lines.
