It was just a month ago when news of a collaboration between Sony PlayStation and the NBA’s Oklahoma City Thunder small forward Paul George announced a collaboration on his signature performance basketball sneakers. As he is a Nike-sponsored athlete, it’s only right for Nike to manufacture the sneakers, hence the Nike PG2 “PS4”.
While the PG2 sneaker series is one of George’s best selling performance basketball shoes, the PG2 “PS4” colourway is nothing like you’ve ever seen on a sneaker, much less a performance basketball sneaker. The standout feature of this shoe is that it incorporates both George’s and PlayStation’s logo, which will light up. The insoles of the shoes will also feature a starry graphics from a special edition theme.

Said theme can be redeemed onto your PS4 with a special PSN code that will be given with the purchase of the shoes.
The Nike PG2 “PS4” will be retailing at RM439 and can be bought through Nike Malaysia’s online store. As it is with collaborations, the PG2 “PS4” colourway is expected to come in limited quantities, which will definitely make it harder for avid fans to cop with the amount of third-party bot applications used by sneaker resellers.
Of course, Nike’s limited edition releases will always bring plenty of resellers to its site due to the historic nature of Nike sneakers, especially when it comes to its Air Jordan line of sneakers. The last thing you will want is to get this when the shoe eventually drops.

Mind you, this happened to me earlier today when the Nike Epic React Flyknit dropped. For those who are unfamiliar, this is Nike’s way of combating against the tidal wave that is the Boost technology used in many of Adidas’ sneakers these days, especially the Adidas Ultraboost.
