Has Apple started following trends instead of setting them?

Apple has always been one to lead, to innovate, to set the trend. While that is still the case in some regards, Android powered devices have been releasing some pretty innovative tech this past year and Apple looks set to follow in their footsteps. Samsung’s Galaxy S10 and Huawei’s Mate 20 and P30 Pro all feature two-way wireless charging, a feature that allows users to charge their devices using.. well.. other devices. Analysts believe that iPhones too, will soon come with that feature.

Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst with KGI Securities, believes that Apple will follow in the footsteps of Samsung, who introduced bluetooth wireless earbuds to justify their PowerShare feature, by showcasing their new wireless charging earpod case sitting on top of the next iPhone.

He also believes that this new feature will be introduced in the next series of iPhone X products. This in turn will result in handsets with bigger batteries. That’s right. Bigger batteries! It’s almost as if God has heard the prayers of pretty much every Apple user out there. It might have taken a while but bigger batteries is a welcome addition to the iPhone line up, given how notoriously bad the battery life for iPhones are.
