Fans of Netflix’ Umbrella Academy are in for a treat! The streaming giant announced today that after a stellar first season, the show will be renewed for season 2! With the way season 1 ends, i’m pretty sure there would’ve been a mini uprising should the show be cancelled. Fans who weren’t sure about the future of the show, given that netflix cancelled their entire Marvel TV series line up, can now be at peace!

The main cast comprising of Ellen Page, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher, and Justin Min are set to reprise their roles for season 2 along with a few additional castings that have yet to be announced. Another person that’ll be returning is showrunner and executive producer, Steve Blackman.

We don’t know much as of yet but what we do know is that season two will comprise of 10 one-hour episodes and will be produced by UCP (Universal Content Productions) for Netflix. Production is set to begin this summer in Toronto, Canada and should pick up where the season 1 finale left off. I would go into detail but I don’t want to give any spoilers! What i would suggest however, is that you watch the series for yourself! This is one show you don’t want to miss out on.
