New Gaming MindFrame Headset From HP Promises Cooler Ears

HP continues to make headway into gaming with it’s Omen brand and has released new hardware and peripherals during its appearance at Cologne for Gamescon. Among the suspects showcased is this extravagant looking gaming headset HP says is the world’s first headset with active earcup cooling.

The Mindframe headset which retails for $199.99 (approx.RM800) uses a patented thermoelectric driven Frostcap technology that is supposedly will keep your ears cool throughout the intense gaming period. Further improvements will be made prior to launch including noise cancellation, real-time audible feedback via sidetone to take advantage of noise cancellation, and new fabric cups for improved breathability.

Gamers often spend hours playing in tournaments or cybercafes and current brands in the market don’t have functions for sweaty ears where some of us have, this feature on a headset is a welcome option and keep comfort level at optimum especially when huge prize money are at stake.

The Omen Mindframe Headset is expected to be available in October and other retailers for a starting price of $199.99.
