More Leaks About Xiaomi Sub Brand Pocophone F1

Xiaomi is rumoured to introduce a new sub-brand targeting the premium segment of the mobile phone market. This news is already setting news sites curious. The Pocophone F1 is said will be launching exclusively for the Indian and European market for now.

Known for its low-priced devices with high-end features, Xiaomi is taking a separate path with Pocophone F1. The new phone will instead incorporate top of the line components and hardware with a presumably premium design. There are no visible signs to point to Xiaomi as the manufacturer as the logo does not appear anywhere on the phone. But the internal MIUI system screenshot confirms that the smartphone is under the Chinese manufacturer.

Some of the revealed feature set includes a fingerprint sensor, a dual camera module similar to the iPhone X and a notch display just like every other flagship in the market these days.

Based on the pictures, it reveals that the Pocophone F1 will be equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 processor and liquid cooling system uncannily identical to the Black Shark gaming device. Dual camera is assumed to a 12+5MP with 1.4μm pixel size while the front will sport a 20MP sensor, with nifty functions for taking pictures in low light conditions.

Set to be a dual SIM phone, it is said to have 4000mAh battery capacity. Screen size meanwhile could be close to 6.0 inches or even bigger. The label also points to the phone has 6GB RAM with 64GB of internal memory and a confirmed colour of Graphite Black; at the same time, there are reports of a 128GB version.

Pricing is rumoured to be somewhere around 420 euros (RM1,959) and 460 euros (RM2,146) for the 64GB and 128GB models respectively. This will make the Pocophone F1 one of the Xiaomi’s priciest smartphone to date. More details of the Pocophone F1 should be made available just around the corner as the official launch date nears.
