Security Minister in charge of managing the Covid 19 situation and MCO procedures in Malaysia, Datuk Seri Ismail Yaakob has given approval for 4 individuals to travel in a vehicle.

The permission comes after the country moves into the Conditional Movement Control Order phase on May 4, however the conditions remain as only family members are allowed. Just last week, Ismail Yaakob in his daily briefing on MCO, allowed 2 persons in a vehicle as long as they are from the same household. With the allowance of 4 per vehicle will also ease congestion’s and reduce the number of vehicles on the road.

However the public is reminded car pooling and taxing non family members will be strictly prohibited until further clarity is provided from the Minister.
