While Surface Pro and SurfaceBook have been enjoying the limelight and sales, the lesser popular of the sibliings, Surface 3 is not doing so well. And Microsoft has decide to cull the Atom chip powered tablet come December this year.

According to ZDnet that it will stop producing Surface 3 more than a year and half it hit the stores with the possibility of no new stocks being replaced. Redmond probably sees no scalelability in the low cost tablet and prefer focusing on the Pro series that serves to represent Windows 10 more effectively as notebook replacements.

But this should not reflect on Microsoft’s stance as bowing out of the low entry device market.
