Disney and Marvel have showed off a short, 30-second clip which showed off new scenes from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, WandaVision and Loki. And while these short clips don’t really show off much, it’s done its job of getting the hype back for Marvel fans.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier showed off Falcon (Anthony Mackie), the new Captain America pick up and chuck the shield and play around it for a bit. They showed some scenes of the Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) and Falcon together, but there’s this one bit that makes me curious on what the heck is going on. There’s a scene where ‘Captain America’ runs on a football field, but he’s white? I’m not sure what this means considering Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) passed the torch to Falcon, who’s not white.
But anyway, The Falcon and Winter soldier picks up after the arc ended as they navigate a world where Steve rogers is no longer around. They also showed off Zemo’s return, a villain from Captain America: Civil War. So who knows what’s going on in Disney’s new series, so we’ll have to wait till they release sometime this year.
WandaVision’s spot in the video showed off Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) in a very 70’s sitcomish setting. They showed off them in various outfits, and scenarios, but I’m still confused on what’s going on. And lastly, they showed off Loki, which was literally just Loki (Tom Hiddleston) saying “I’m gonna burn this place to the ground.”. That makes Loki the vaguest out of the bunch in terms of plot. At least Loki’s alive?? I’m guessing??
The Falcon and the Winter soldier will be one of the two big Marvel series coming to Disney+ this year. Considering that both WandaVision and Falcon and the Winter Soldier will tie into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we can assume they’re taking things seriously on how the stories are being told in these mediums. And considering they’re now series, it’ll be interesting to see how well they can produce and accurately depict the story with an extended time slot.
