After all the teasing and soft launch of its Facebook page, Malaysia’s newest telco, Yoodo, goes live today.

Beyond claiming the title of Malaysia’s newest telco, Yoodo also presents itself as the country’s truly customisable mobile network. The value proposition is about enabling the customer as they know what they want best.
Simply put, this new service promises a new and comprehensive mobile network offering that fully places control to the user. With Yoodo, the common division for packages is blurred further as customers can now mix-and-match the services they want. Be it voice, data, messaging or content, there are a possible 1,000 combinations.

There are no lock-in thresholds even, ensuring users can change, upgrade or downgrade their custom package. This translates to two critical factors: no contract lock-in and being able to alter is as and when necessary.

Once customers place an order for their customised plan, it will be delivered to their door-step.
“We try to be completely different from other telcos as our services can be tailor-made. It’s all about fitting to what our customers want. We’ve certainly turned the whole concept on its head,” says Farid Yunis, Head of Yoodo.
Other highlights that Makaysia’s newest Telco, Yoodo, offers include self-registration, immediate SIM delivery, roaming options as well as booster add-ons. There are user rewards and non-intrusive offers that are geo-location triggered.
For Faris, the goal for Yoodo is to provide a simpler, clearer, and better overall experience.
The Yoodo app, which is where users can register for their new Yoodo service, is available now on Google Android and Apple iOS.
